Try this: While at home or on a lot, press L(2), R, A(2), Up. Then try your cheat again. I don’t know about the Game cube but some of the cheats for the PC have to be enabled before you can use them. This code is supposed to be for a “cheating gnome”, from what the website said it looks like a cheat enabler.
